GBSAN made a submission in response to the Regional Water Assessment [RWA] draft report [full submission PDF].
A Sustainable Water Security Strategy for the Granite Belt will aim to balance water requirements across the entire community both now and for the future.
It will seek:
fair and equitable distribution and accessibility for the whole community,
to support thriving, healthy local communities, and their livelihoods.
to promote sustainable economic growth,
to preserve the integrity of the landscape and environment, and
to effectively adapt to the challenges posed by climate change.
