Proposal to introduce a Household Chemical Hand-in Scheme for the Southern Downs Regional Council

GBSAN has developed a Proposal to introduce a Household Chemical Hand-in Scheme which we have asked the Southern Downs Regional Council to implement.

It will help keep toxic chemicals out of the environment and it would be an initiative that the SDRC could be justifiably proud of.

A chemical hand-in scheme is a relatively simple idea for the SDRC to embrace and would have far-reaching benefits for residents, wildlife, groundwater, and the shire.

Granite Belt Sustainable Action Network would be willing to meet with any SDRC representative to discuss this proposal in greater detail.
