GBSAN Garage Sale Thanks
Barbara and Philippa of the Waste and Resource Recovery Team would like to extend a huge thanks to every community member who volunteered their time and their excess goods to the GBSAN Garage Sale on the 9th November. There are too many people to list but you know who you are - congratulations in helping make the monster Garage Sale a success.
We joined the National Garage Sale Trail to promote the concept of keeping still useful items in circulation and diverting them from landfill. What we found was a thriving subculture of reuse, repurpose and rehoming simmering away in the quiet and unassuming streets of Stanthorpe.
Through the efforts of the GBSAN team we raised over $1100 in funds to further our environmental projects. We will keep you posted on how these funds will be used.
