Garage Sale Saturday 9 November

Donate to the GBSAN garage sale or visit on Saturday 9 November to pick up some bargains!

The Resource Recovery team of GBSAN are getting involved with the 2024 Garage Sale Trail and we need your help.

The Garage Sale Trail started in 2010 in Sydney when mates Darryl Nichols and Andrew Valder saw the need to protect our earth's precious finite resources by extending the life of the stuff we buy.

Fast forward to 2024 and the Garage Sale trail is now supported by over 80 local governments (including our own Southern Downs Regional Council) across Australia.

So, what is the Garage Sale Trail?

Garage Sale Trail is Australia's biggest secondhand treasure hunt with over 3 million pre-loved items going up for sale over two big weekends of garage sales.

When the whole country starts putting secondhand first, the impacts are huge, Andrew Valder, Co-Founder.

Whether you're selling, shopping or helping to spread the word, being a part of Garage Sale Trail means you will help extend the life of over 3 million kilograms of stuff, saving it from landfill. In our eyes that makes you a bit of a legend so sing it from the rooftops!
